Who we are
Lorem Ipsum Creative LLC is a brand identity studio in St. Louis, Missouri. This policy covers madebyipsum.com and the Brand Potential Index at bpi.madebyipsum.com. If you have a question about it, email design@madebyipsum.com.
What we collect
What you give us:
- When you contact us: your name, email, business name, phone number if you include it, and your message.
- When you join the newsletter: your name and email address.
- When you use the Brand Potential Index: your business type and the numbers and answers you enter (such as yearly revenue, margin, share of new customers and the brand checklist). If you ask for your full report, also your name, email and business name.
What is collected automatically:
- madebyipsum.com runs on Squarespace, which records standard visit information such as pages viewed, browser, device type and approximate location, and uses cookies to run the site and its visitor statistics.
- The Brand Potential Index uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.
We don't take payments on either site.
How we use it
- To answer your messages and provide the services you ask for.
- To send the Brand Potential Index report you request.
- To send newsletters or brand tips, only if you signed up or checked the box.
- To send a short personal follow-up about your report. Every email after your report includes a way to opt out.
- To understand how the sites are used and improve them. We may combine Brand Potential Index answers into anonymous totals, such as averages by industry. We never publish anything that identifies you or your business.
Who we share it with
We use a few service providers to run the studio, and they handle information on our behalf:
- Squarespace: website, forms and email newsletters
- Google: email, file storage, and the automation that sends your Brand Potential Index report
- Cloudflare: hosting, the report form and visit counts for the Brand Potential Index
- Notion: where we keep client and inquiry records
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own advertising. We would disclose it only if the law required us to.
Your choices
- Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor requests within 10 business days.
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we have about you by emailing design@madebyipsum.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of madebyipsum.com may not work as well without them.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries and Brand Potential Index reports: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
- Client records: as long as needed for the project and for tax and legal requirements.
- Anything you ask us to delete: removed within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
Security
We limit who can access your information and use reputable providers that protect the data they hold. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our sites are for businesses and aren't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we'll say so on this page.
